Solved Replacing DVD Drive

Hey guys I'm just looking to find out what you think is wrong with my xbox. Everytime I put in a disc a message comes up that says "You need to insert this disc into a xbox 360 console..." The guy that flashed (then unflashed) my xbox said it was a bad dvd drive. I bought the unit of craigslist with the rrod and then fixed it. Im starting to think that the guy that had this system before did a drive replacement but didnt change the 25 character hexadecimal code.

Can anyone confirm that this is the message that is displayed when the system code and DVD drive code do not match?

Also is there any want to get the code directly off of the system if this is the case?

Sounds like he used the wrong dvd key try putting a dvd movie in the system and see if it plays it because you dont need the right key to play movies.

If it plays dvd's then the person that had your 360 ****ed it up. If you don't have that key and if he doesn't have it anymore then you are going to be screwed.
