for write English tutorial:
When you change your username it stops the discount messages that are automatically set to pop up when you load online.
It may actually take away the discount.
Theoretically resetting the “perk”.
He is also speculating that it potentially also removes any negative sanctions against your account such as bad sport and or cheating messages.
I couldn’t say for sure that it actually removes the discount or any kind of bad sport/ cheating flags on the account without delving into the game code.
This isn’t really something you could test on PC since each account is linked to its own copy of the game and can’t really be changed like on consoles.
I think it just takes away the messages not the actual “perks” which are afforded to you for your rank in game and time played.
By previous users accounts it seemingly does affect your time in Bad sport but wouldn’t affect your exploit level as far as dirty dupes or an iFruit “ban”.
However it could be possible to reverse that by changing your PSN/gamer tag and creating and linking a new social club account to the new PSN/gamer tag.
You would also have to eradicate all dirty dupes and if you have custom plates on the account you probably would have iFruit locked again because those plates don’t exist on your “new” social club account.
This all of course is speculation by simply using a logical thought process.
