Discussion [RELEASE] Freeboot .032 with KV/Hash check removed

Finally found the instruction to remove the Hash check and now all jtags can be unbanned using Freeboot .032

Since someone ripped it and posted it on T T G I would rather this forum have it than them <_<

allows you to use kv's with f***ed up certs. Won't let you get on live though so this doesn't do much for the kids that like cheating online

Actually the hash check verifies that the keyvault hasn't been modified in any way (such as changing keyvaults) so as the title states the check is removed in this version so that people on Zephyrs Falcons and Jaspers can switch KVs without downgrading to Freeboot .03 and dealing with corrupt profiles etc.

Correct. You would build an image with the instructions included in the download...then you can swap KV's without christmas lights meaning there is no need to downgrade to Freeboot .03

wow you are so smart. You just said exactly what I said. When your cert is messed up (console gets banned ect) then your xbox loses it's ability to sign con files. This will allow it to still function correctly with a messed up cert. So you took my answer and went more in depth with it. You didn't contradict me.

So then whats the point of having a KV, if it cant go online?

Keyvaults aren't in the xbox 360 just so that it can go online. The keyvault stores alot of information about your console such as: DvD key, certificate, methods to build con files, and alot of other things which I don't know off the top of my head. The keyvault is basically exactly what it sounds like. It stores keys.

Ugh it allows you to swap KV's on consoles that have the hash check. The check makes sure the console is using its original KV that it was manufactured with... Also if you swap with a unbanned KV you can go online...

Lets dumb this down for you:

The kv is hashed, if the hash doesnt match the hash of the original kv then the xbox refuses to boot and you get rrod. Essentially it removes the xbox's ability to verify the hash of the kv, letting you use any kv that you please whether it be type 1 or type 2.
