    * Original unpacking bms script by Aluigi - Luigi Auriemma.
    * Unpacking script ported to C# by SotG Caboose.
    * Packing code by SotG Caboose.
    * EndianIO by ???.
    * DotNetZip.dll used for GZip compression and decompression - DotNetZip Library.
    */

    With this console application, you can create or unpack any FbRB archive used by the battlefield games.

    How to use:

    1. Open command prompt
    2. Type "cd program path". If I put my program in the folder "C:\Programs" I would type "cd C:\Programs".
    3. Unpacking example: "fbrbunpack -u C:\Sounds.fbrb C:\Extracted" - That would extract all the files in the Sounds.fbrb file into the "Extracted" folder.
    4. Packing example: "fbrbunpack -p C:\Extracted C:\Sounds2.fbrb 2 false" - That would take all the files in the "Extracted" folder and put them into the "Sounds2.fbrb" file. The last part "2 false" means you use 2 as the version of the fbrb file and false means you DON'T compress the files. If you want the files compressed you would type "true".
    5. Press the Enter key and wait for it to be done.

    Not quite sure but I found some information on .res files.

    Can be opened with Borland Delphi, Borland C++ Builderand Microsoft Visual Studio C++

    I'm looking to extract some graphics from inside the game. I don't have C++ knowledge but capable of learning enough to help extract the things I'll need.

    If anyone knows which .fbrb holds the rank graphic icons.. Please reply,

    Thanks (:

    Useful external link to do with trying to open up the fbrb files.

    Look like others are struggling to do much with the .res files etc..
    My .res files appear corrupted and that thread could explain why..

    I found that the .fbrb unpacker crashed with opening certain files.
    When opening ondemand_awards-00.fbrb it crashed leaving the error:

    Code:
    Unhandled Exception: Icon.Zlib.ZlibException: Protocol error. AvailableBytesIn=2200, expected 8

    at Icon.Zlib.ZlibBaseStream.finish<>
    at Icon.Zlib.ZlibBaseStream.close<>
    at Icon.Zlib.GZipStream.Dispose<Boolean disposing>
    at System.IO.Stream.Close<>
    at Icon.Zlib.ZlibBaseStream.UncompressBuffer<Byte[] compressed, Stream decompressor
    at Icon.Zlib.GZipStream.UncompressBuffer<Byte[] compressed>
    at fbrbunpack.FBrB.UnpackFBRB<String fbrbfile, String outfolder>
    at FBRB_Unpack.Program.Main<String[] args>
    I found another piece of software named QuickBMS:
    - http://aluigi.org/papers/quickbms.zip

    Using the script below I was able to extract the file into the multiple .res files as Fbrb Unpacker should have done. Hope you know how to fix your prog (:

    The issue with ondemand_awards-00.fbrb (and the other ondemand_ fbrbs) is that the size of the compressed blocks being returned isn't correct - then when dotnetzip looks for the uncompressed size it doesnt find it.

    Its a pain in the *** that quickBMS has got around.

    I cant seem to download it. I have one of them tho Im going to guess its this one because the other one cant pack the folder back into a file. But there are some files that still cant be opened with it if you would like me to I will upload those files for you.
