Hi there, I have rather a complex problem. I have a chipped xbox and recently tried to reinstall the dashboard with Evo X which I have on disc. it seemed to go through the installing process but after, when I turned it on, it just stays on the Xbox loading screen, it wont load any games, or any mod discs.

My question is this: Can I flash a new dashboard from my laptop using an ethernet cable? Can I access the xbox even though I cant get past the loading screen? Any help would be welcome.

Thanks.

i tried to connect to my xbox while at the loading screen seems to be a no go.

try to eject the disc drive when its turned off and see what happens there it should either boot to default dash or it will give some sort of error.

Do you mean manually eject with the Xbox off and then turning on?

Awesome!!!! Problem solved!!! So simple... just realised I'd never tried pressing the eject button. Even my chip is working! You rock.
