I've been looking all over and have been getting multiple answers so I'm not sure what to do. I have a LiteOn drive that a friend of mine flashed a year or two ago. He flashed it with iXtreme 1.6. I recently started back playing my 360 and saw that newer games require 2.0. My question is what do I need to do to reflash the system. Do I need to purchase the Xecuter Kit w/ Probe and anything else? I'm new to this but once I get a list of everything I need for the reflash, I should be able to figure things out on my own.

If you have the files from when he flashed it, such as the .cfw, dummy.bin ect., then all you need is a way to power it like a molex power supply and a way to connect it to your computer like the X360USB if you don't have a SATA card. If you don't have the files then you will need a way to power it, a way to connect it to your computer, and a probe such as the CK3 Probe that is used to extract the files that you need. If you need to purchase anything, I recommend using xconsoles.com.

I don't have the files when he flashed it. So, I'm looking at getting:

http://www.xconsoles.com/molex-power-supply.html

http://www.xconsoles.com/xecuter-x360usb-pro.html

http://www.modchip.ca/store/product.php?productid=16570&cat=284&page=1

...is that correct? And if so, is there a cheaper alternative to the USB pro?

Actually you need this instead of the last thing you listed:
http://www.xconsoles.com/xecuter-ck3-probe-3.html

And if you have a SATA Card on your computer and you feel like opening up your PC you could do it that way. The X360USB is for people who don't have a SATA card on their computer or just don't feel like opening up thier PC. As far as I know that's the only alternative.
