I posted this back on acidmods when I used to be a member its a rapid fire method with no chip required it works quite well  ( sorry for bad quality photos and there size I directly copied from acidmods  )

heres the tut

ok so i was talking to my mate who plays cod on pc and how people switch shoot to the scroll so i thought hey why dont i have that on my xbox so i wired up a a mouse scroller to trigger and it worked
biggrin.gif

NOTE YOU WILL NEED TO FIND A SCROLL WHEEL LIKE THIS

qyy8eq.jpg

and be careful i snapped plastic end and had to use allen key replacement centre piece

I cut this hole by first drilling a hole and then filed it to the shape i needed now each mouse scroller will be different I personally used the mouse and copied the hol
where the mouse wheel was before

next check that the scroller fits and rolls
birlsi.jpg

if thats all done now take the scroller and bend down the flaps mine came like this be carful and do what I did
biggrin.gif

firstly your scroll wheel should look like this if different then im not sure

next the wheel should slide out from switch bit so do so

zvtpcj.jpg

after you have done that now you can bend the flaps down with out damaging wheel DO NOT BEND DOWN THREE CONNECTOR POINTS !!!! incase you snap them !!

then reconnect wheel and see if it fits i will be mounting mine to the gray bottom piece with hot glue when im done so check that you can.

next i hot glued it make sure you do not glue the mechnaism

next you need to wire it to these points
200uzwz.jpg

just wire the two points on the scroll to that or you can wire what i did with a switch on the back so i can choose to have it on and off as there is some auto fire issues atm.

( the hardest part about this mod is making the hole and finding a scroll wheel like the one i used  but I like the result as it undectable as the faster you can scroll the faster you can shoot and with devlopment such as free rolling scroll wheels will mean this may be able to moved onto bigger and better devlopments : )

thanks

nah its alright as you can keep your fingers for buttons etc is just a cheaper option and you can change the position of the scroll wheel to were you want

does this let you shoot to your full potential?........... Like on mw2 will this actually shoot as fast as the controllers that are programed with chips?

This is actually very creative. I like it a lot. The possibilities of modded controllers just broadened again.

Check to make sure that the solder isn't touching any other points, seems like it might be touching one of the right stick's contacts.

ok i made sure nothing was touching.... now it only starts looking around in circles..... and the trigger doesnt fire either... any suggestions?:?

what pins should i connect to the controller, all three, or first pin and middle pin, last pin and middle pin, or first and last pins?

this is where you would connect  if facing the right way up

  • connect to one end of scroller ( pin 1)
  • connect to switch then switch to scroller  (pin 2)
  • not connected (pin 3)
If that does'nt work take a pic of your current connections and il put you in the right way  il make a schematic at one point
