    Hi

My xbox I got on launch day is getting 2/4 red ring (overheating) and my warranty is done and I need to fix my xbox. Ive tried everything to cool it down but nothing has worked. Im thinking about opening it up to fix it and my question is would scars 3 red light fix tut work on an xbox having the 2 red lights?

    thanks:biggrin:

I doubt it would work but check the secondary error code and post it here.

all my xbox does is freeze after 5-10 mins of gameplay. Ive tried everything to get it to cool down and since it was an xbox from the first shipment I thought that If I fixed the heatsinks and followed his tut it would fix.

You can get talismoon fans, they cool it down better then the stock ones

Wouldnt it be better to just do scars tutorial because doesnt that tutorial have a 100% chance of working?

That might help a little with new thermal paste, but is there a large amount of dust inside the xbox? I have seen that make computers overheat maybe its as simple as that. A new fan would probably also help quite a lot as well.

The 360 is overheating due to 3 years of dust build up. Just open it up and clear the dust. Should work.

My tut would probably help... especially if you add new thermal paste
