probs with windows media player

    Ive downloaded couple of films which it doesnt pick up the codecs, anyone know how i can view them?

    try VLC player but im pretty sure windows media player will play almost anything. what type of file are you trying to play in WMP

    I'll correct you on that.

    Windows Media Player has to be the worst media player.

    VideoLAN's VLC Player is the best out there, with playing every format on the web. Plus it's free.

    If, however you're not going to switch, download some more codecs:

    CCCP - Combined Community Codec Pack

    think it was r5 files or some crap but thanks for the help guys

    i downloaded this codec pack from cnet, and im actually very impressed with it. and it comes with windows media player classic, with all of those oldschool options.
    it will probally help you with the not being able to play your video in wmp.

    IF all else fails, format factory can format it for you so you can view it in whatever player you like.
