Discussion Private friends list ?

Have they removed the ability to make your friends list private in the fall update ?
Can't seem to find it .

You could make it private for awhile now. Go to privacy settings

No. Do this:
My Xbox -> Select your profile -> Online safety -> Change settings -> Customize.

Or, if you're signed in to Xbox.com, click here and scroll down to Friends List. Set it to blocked.

Note: You can also achieve this through parental controls. Though the above methods are simpler if you're trying to hide your own list and not a kid's.
