Ok, I have a 1st Gen. 16gig. iPod Touch and it has firmware version 1.1.5 on it. I am trying to update it to firmware version 2.0, 2.1 or 2.2. Either one will work for me. I have tried many different things. People tell me to just plug in my iPod, open iTunes, hold down the 'Shift' key and click restore. Then I am supposed to select the firmware update I want to update it to. But when I click on one of the firmware versions (i.e. Firmware Version 2.1) it comes up with an error saying: An unknown error has occurred (1403). Does anyone know why it keeps saying this error? PLEASE HELP ME!!! I have tried downloading like a million different versions of iTunes (including iTunes 6, 7, 7.1, 7.7, and 8.) But that didn't do a thing. I am still getting the same error. I put my iPod into DFU mode and tried it again, same error message popped up. I have tried restarting my iPod and computer countless times, nothing fixes it... iTunes lets me restore my iPod to version 1.1.5 but not 2.0, 2.1, or 2.2. I don't know why I am constantly getting this error, does anybody know how to fix it? I have looked up answers on google but nothing has fixed the error. WHAT DO I DO!!??:cursing: PLEASE HELP ME! I LOVE YOU!
