Unsolved PLEASE....HELP HELP HELP

I have been at this for months now and have not gotten decent help from anyone.. Can someone PLEASE explain to me how to jailbreak my PS3?

I understand it needs to bee on 3.55 firmware... but outside of that no one has even remotely explained to me how to do this. It can't be that hard..... Any help is extremely appreciated.

Alright so after you have a Playstation on 3.55 from either downgrading yours or buying one, it is very easy from here.

All you do is download the Jailbreak File

After you download the file, go onto your USB Device make a folder named " PS3 " inside the folder make another folder named " UPDATE " the inside the update folder place the Jailbreak file . Make sure you rename the Jailbreak file to PS3UPDAT.PUP.

Now go onto your PS3 and go to Settings > System Update > Update Via Storage Media

Now install the Jailbreak. It's very easy to Install Jailbreak on a 3.55 Console.

It's the latest 4.80 i believe

Well to downgrade your console , it requires you to open it up and install the E3 Flasher or if it is a Phat console, you have to solder things which is difficult.

Look on the back next to the serial number you will see CECH-##### if you tell me those numbers and tell me if it's a SLIM or PHAT I will be able to tell you if you can downgrade your console to 3.55

If it is downgradable I will let you know, then you could look up on YouTube how to install an E3 Flasher. I believe they cost $50+ and it is easy if you watch the video carefully , but as I said you will have to open you console to install it and downgrade it .

Or you could have a Professional / Experienced User do it for you.

I believe Pianist Prodigy is still offering his downgrade service, but he only does it for NOR consoles [ SLIM Consoles] , so if your console is NAND you're out of luck. You can find his service here : http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/threads/pianist-prodigy-ps3-nor-downgrade-service.1424279/

His service is very cheap, if you want your console to be just Downgraded and you install your own Custom Firmware [ CFW ] it's only $40 !

If you would like him to Downgrade it and Install CFW, it's only an extra $10 so $50 in total and it saves you all the work from having to do it yourself.

Well IF your console is even downgradable you will have to buy an e3 Flasher and then open up your console to downgrade it. It isn't hard to downgrade a console yourself. I recommend you to take a look at this thread: http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/threads/e3-flasher-4-75-downgrade-files.1355707/ I suggest you to watch the video 20 times until you fully understand you can do it without watching the video. I offer Downgrade NOR Service for PS3 Slim Only and at the moment I only have experience with these models CECH 2001A and CECH 2101A.

What do you mean they disappeared ? What exactly disappeared ? Like all of your homebrew apps such as PS Ninja , multiman etc ??

In this case, I had the same problem I updated to a lower firmware which weren't supported by the PKGs then they blacked-out then I upgraded to latest then they came back.

Yea, I could understand that but the user said that he / she opened WebMan and they disappeared.

More & likely, didn't know what he/she was doing and deleted them.

Try reinstalling them VIA USB or FTP.

Then come back with your results.

Try upgrading to latest firmware, or if that don't work you have two more options.

1) Reinstall all PKGs via USB or FTP.
2) Go to a lower firmware 4.xx and then spoof to the latest one.
