I'm sure many of the avid PC gamers on here who are in to horror and jump scare games are aware already. However, the game Phasmophobia by Kinetic Games (still in early access) has been announced to be coming to consoles (Xbox series X / S and Playstation 5 along with PlaystationVR2, no mention of Nintendo Switch!) this August, 2023. This is a major step forward for Phasmophobia - which up to this point there has been no mention of cross-platform playability. As of now, cross progression is not yet confirmed, but it's expected to be added either as a secret to the update or later on as a free(?) DLC.
Phasmophobia is a (very low cost) ghost hunting game released originally in September of 2020, has reinvented the horror game genre. This game is not a linear game unlike many other horror games, but rather is a game that focuses on multiplayer (up to 4) to find and determine what ghost is haunting a location. Phasmophobia offers a range of 24 different ghost types that players can hunt, which is randomly generated at the start of each round. Ghosts themselves have their own personalities that can vary between rounds making the game that much more challenging and interesting. **Having played since 2021, I can honestly say I have never versed the same ghost twice.
