You CAN connect to xbox live, right?
Its a linksys router, I take?
Thats what I have, I run my laptop, another laptop, and my 360 off of it.

If your NAT is open do you have lag while the internet is being used? What connection speed do you have?

not sure what speed, not sure how to find it out. if you mean constantly lag then no i dont. but i cannot connect to many many people meaning that i cannot connect to their game if their host or their private chats. idk what the problem is if i have an open nat. maybe cus i have wireless or something.

It might be that there are a couple things that are causing this. You might have a slow connection speed which is unable to handle a heavy strain that too many players puts on your connection causing it to lag or bog down. Then it could be that other people are having issues with your Open NAT connection, because there own is either Strict or Moderate. Lastly other connections in your household in which you share your bandwidth with might being using up you connection and causing you to have less bandwidth available to you causing your xbox connection to lag.

you could have a slower isp, or who knows. But if its still not working then try enabling your dmz(set it to the ip of your xbox)

I don't think he should do that just yet until the actual cause of the problem is really pinpointed but the dmz really does help. Have you found anything on your own that might be the problem?
