Discussion NXOE applying update fix

if your xbox gets stuck around a 3rd of the progress bar when applying the new update follow these steps and it should fix the issue worked for me and 2 of my friends.

Here is how i fixed my installation issues

1. Turn off console fully by holding the power button
2. Disconnect all USB devices
3. Unplug all cables at back apart from hdmi out, this includes power and Ethernet
4. Leave for a minute and re-plug the power lead back in and turn on the console
5. Applying update will continue once done you will get an update is available screen again
6. Plug back in the Ethernet cable and select install update
7. The console will re-download the update which is around 1GB if i remember
8. Once downloaded it will get applying update screen again here it will restart a couple time as the progress gets closer to completion, for reference mine restarted 3 times total before finishing.
9. Success you should now have NXOE re-plug all cables that you had earlier removed.

I left all of my peripherals in and did a couple of hard resets. Suppose I'm a lucky one haha. This guide should be useful for people though.

3.Tap the power button again

I actually done this and a variety of other fixes that I saw on the support forum and none work in my case until I unplugged everything so it may effect others differently

The official forums troubleshooting say unplug your power cable mid update so that's probably why unplugging worked for you.
