Could someone please post a screenshot of their GTA, non-steam version, game directory, please? I have been playing this game since 2013, on the same computer and have never had any mods or extra files. I had been playing the game with the new launcher since the launcher came out, but did not start getting the message until just a few days ago.

I just got around to updating one of my PC accounts today.
I have had no issues loading GTA.
I also have the standalone version.
If you have posted a screenshot of the alert you are getting it’s not viewable.
What exactly does it state?
I have had an alert on previous accounts because I had installed a free detectable mod menu.
Once I uninstalled and reinstalled GTA everything went back to normal.
Your best bet outside of contacting R* support is to uninstall GTA and re-download and install.
That may be what Rockstar suggests anyway.
Here’s a screenshot of my GTA file although I don’t think it will help.
There are a few lines cut off from the bottom of the folder but they are inconsequential.

Thank you. I am not all that worried about it. I asked for a screenshot, just to verify that I was in the clear. There are quite a few players who have been experiencing crashing to desktop after about 20 minutes, every single time. It all started after the casino update. I am one of those players. Nvidia and allegedly, Rockstar, are looking into the issue. I did not post a screenshot of the error message, that was just a failed attempt to post a screenshot of my directory. One method worked, the other one didn't.

Look at the Google search, all the recent dates. I have had GTA installed on my PC since 2013, this is the first time I have had any crash issues. I have done all the various troubleshooting hints, tips, and "what worked for me" solutions out there. rolling back drivers and getting the latest beta's. I have done everything except for re-install Windows, and this game is not that important. All other games work fine.

Strange, but if it’s something that is happening to many users then I’m sure Rockstar is working on a solution.
What are your system Specs?
Is it possible that your RAM or Graphics RAM is struggling to run the game?
I have an older PC that I built which was running on an i5 processor with a clock speed that was too slow to run GTA right.
I had plenty of RAM and graphics RAM.
It would be very laggy running normally and would crash often.
I would consistently have to run it in safe mode in order for the game to work properly.
Maybe that’s something similar to what you are experiencing.
I recently have seen another user here having similar issues. When I asked about their PC specs they had an older i5 processor with the same clock speed as my old PC. He also barely met the minimum requirements for RAM and graphics RAM.
It could help for you to run GTA in safe mode until Rockstar comes up with a solution to fix the issue.

They are working on it, I am not trying to troubleshoot that aspect of it here, and yes, R* is supposed to be working on a fix. It started with the casino update for the people with this problem. It is by no means my computer. There are tons of suggestions, everything you mentioned, I have repeatedly gone over with Nvidia and R*, and dozens of other sites with people having the same issue. When I am not crashing, the game plays flawlessly. Safe mode doesn't make a difference. So far the only thing that seems to work for me, is to delete the Redistributables folder, and letting the launcher re-download and install them. Don't know if it's a fluke or not, I am still testing.
