Patched New Duplicate Personal Car Glitch (not redone yet)

Hi there,

yesterday I succeeded to duplicate my personal car (in this case an Adder). But I couldn't reproduce it yet.

What I have done:

1) I used a hill on the Northside of the military base to enter the military base with the Adder (it's the second hill if you drive the right way from the real entrance)

2) I just played around and tried to steal a tank.

3) I got 5 Stars and got shot by a soldier.

4) I spawned outside the military base and my car of course got confiscated by the police

5) then I tried with other players to get again into the military base by calling helicopters from merry weather

6) after some deaths I called the mechanic to bring me my Adder (I have forgotten that the police have it)

7) I chose the Adder out of habit but of course it didn't worked. So i chose the next car one down below.

8) And the surprising: my mechanic bought me my adder instead of the other car. I thought ok it's maybe a bug

9) I called Mors Mutual Insurance and there I could restore my car for 12.500 GTA$ and then was said my car will be in my garage

10) I drove to my garage with the Adder my mechanic brought and there I had suddenly two Adders. Both were insured. I sold one exemplar via this trick:


I don't now yet what the crunch point is. Maybe I just called the mechanic at the right time where the status from my car went from "confiscated" to "destroyed". I will give it today a few more tries. I also searched many YouTube videos if someone have done it this way yet. But I have nothing found. Maybe you can reproduce this glitch. If I work this out I will let you know!

It's a glitch with the mechanic. He will also sometimes bring you cars that have been destroyed or are listed as destroyed. It's not easy to duplicate the glitch on a consistent basis.
(You can lose a car doing this...my wife lost a Vacca due to this glitch...the car remained in her destroyed list and could not be retrieved)

the same thing happened to me, except i already had a motorcycle outside the garage. I called the mechanic to get my adder, he said i had to wait 30 seconds. So I kept spamming the a button on "Adder" and looked away to my computer. When the mechanic said "Ok, it's coming at ya" He brought me my motorcycle that was already out of the garage... I thought that maybe i accidentally selected my bike instead, but to save time i went back into my garage to go get my adder... Turns out that the motorcycle my mechanic gave me replaced the slot in my garage where the adder was... So i lost an adder and got two of a pink Bati motorcycle lol
