So my friend got the new dash update beta and can use xbox live on it but if he shared it with me would it work? Atleast he got accepted hasn't got it yet. Like would it work on xbl for me?

They make you give them your console id and other things so that they can allow you to access the beta and go online with it, so I would say no.
