Cygnos, a team of dedicated console "technicans" is proud to anounce the upcoming release of our first product called "Cygnos360". Cygnos360 is a modchip for the easy installation directly onto the underside of the xbox360 mainboard.

Cygnos360 is a dual kernel modchip which adds a secondary NAND flash to the xbox 360 mainboard. It allows switching between the onboard NAND flash and the Cygnos360 NAND flash. By doing so, users can have an exploitable kernel version such as "4532" or "4548" at the same time as the current kernel version required to play the latest games. Cygnos360 can also be used for switching between kernels patched with different region codes so that users can easily switch between US and EU games for example.
    Cygnos360

A quick summary of the features:
    - adds secondary flash to hold an "alternative kernel" that users can switch to
    - fits directly on the bottom side of the xbox360 mainboard
    - needs only one wire running on the board
    - easy to use "quicksolder pads" which at the same time make sure that the modchip is stuck to the mainboard and does not fall around.
    - has solder pads for external switch
    - comes with on PCB status LED
    - comes with solder pads for external status LED (LED not included)
    - Cygnos360 is delivered empty!

Very interesting. I had no idea there were modchips for the 360.

The only problem with this chip is you have to have an exploitable kernel to begin with.

I'm not that great with modding at all, so what would this allow you to do?:?

Im assuming, like most mod chips it allows you to flash your xbox and update the flash without opening your xbox again to resinstall.

However if you want to only do that I would suggest the Blaster 360.

No. Not at all actually. It allows for two nands, with a switch so you can load whatever one you want. XBL one or exploitable one.

Meaning that if you want one of these chips, your box has to have never seen live before?

So this makes your box exploitable?
    Even past the update?

I'd buy it if that is possible. Then we could have a hybrid 360 lol. Half XBL and half Dev.

Was on the right lines then, thanks.
So all this serves is the ability for exploitable boxes to update and play on live.
    ..mhm.

It lets you switch between a kernel that can go on live (non-exploitable) and one that can't (exploitable).

So I would assume this can make boxes exploitable, if the owner had the right resources too then.

    Cool.

I could be wrong, but it would also have to be an old box, M$ updates the newer conoles.

LOL how do people have friends who know how to do this stuff?

Noone at my school has any idea what a mod even is.

    Yes.
It has to be a box before a specific date, early 07 if I remember correctly, and has to of never touched a live update.

Installing the infectus can be a *****, but the end process is worth it.
And he wasn't directly referring to a local friend. Just somebody who would be willing to share their NAND dump with you.
