Unsolved Neighborhood going nutso after update

After updating to the newest dash Neighborhood has been acting up quite a bit. The default console would randomly disconnect from my network and tools would no longer function. Random functions of tools will not actually do anything, but only at random times. Tools crash. After a while xbdm.xex started fatal crash intercept'ing me at the Xbox boot logo screen. I removed it from launch.ini and everything worked fine. I replaced the plugin with another fresh one and I'm going to put it back in my launch.ini and see what happens, but I'm curious as to why Neighborhood is doing this.
