I have a pc and it is in need of a gpu. I have no idea of how to seach for it or what to search for. I need a graphics card that will be powerfull for the price perfeably a GeForce (idk why but it seems good. Suggest other if they are good). I would like it to be around the buget of $150- $200 including a power supply sadly. If you can suggest any good gpus with power supply if not an in detail explanation of what I need to be looking for would be appreciated. Thanks.

What your current pc specs? Your two brand choices are amd and nvidea, as for which card well there's loads to choose from, but your price range does kind of limit it. You could look at B-stock or something which is like refurbished gpus or something like that, they're the same gpu but just a lot cheaper, although I'm not actually sure what's wrong with them.

A good power supply I think would be the EVGA 500w, in fact I just ordered one of them for someone and will be installing it in a couple of days. As for a good graphics card I think the GTX 950 would be the best bet for you as it is in your price range and is the highest performing NVIDIA card for the price. I've never dabbled with AMD GPUs so I can't give you a good recommendation for one of their graphics cards.

You may be able to get a better GPU off of some other site than Amazon, I personally trust Amazon with all of my products.

Here you can compare NVIDIA GPUs against eachother, http://www.geforce.com/hardware/compare-buy-gpus

An AMD equivalent would probably be the R7 360/370. Got one myself in the Powercolor edition from a previous build and it runs games in 1080p over 30fps. I also agree with C CU9 on the PSU as I have had an EVGA 500w in the past and it's all you'll need and more.

There is no AMD equivalent to the GTX 950. R7 360 is very entry level. R7 370 is about R7 265 performance, maybe slightly better, whilst the GTX 950 performs about on par with a GTX 760, which performs between an R9 270x and R9 280. So, the 950 is a mid point between the 370 and 380 basically. Since you can't afford a 380($180-$190), the GTX 950 is your best choice. The 500W EVGA PSU is not good, it would suffice but it's absolutely not a good PSU, by any means.

You'll need to check your case though, it might not fit this GPU and/or PSU. It's definitely worth replacing your case asap, whether it will work or not for this upgrade.

Smaller 950 if the dual fan MSI card won't fit;
