Well, after spending $2000 on this new iMac, I shortly found out that it honestly wasn't worth it (I have a MacBook and there is no difference imo). So now, I am probably going to return it and get my money back so I can get a decent PC build. The only thing is that I have no experience at building PC's.

1) My budget is 2000$. Maybe even a little over.

2) I have a 24" monitor right now but I might want a bigger one. :tongue:

3) I do mostly things with After Effects, Photoshop, etc, but from time to time I might want to hop on Minecraft or Cod4, so I would like a decent graphics card.

Thanks guys. :lol:

Thank you for the compliment on the build

and

yes, that's why I listed 2 GTS 450 to run SLI, I figured that's what he's going to do... (run dual or triple monitors)

you are welcome . the Op did say he wanted a bigger monitor so i just wanted to throw out an idea that instead of going bigger you can get multiple monitors which is always great IMO

Get rid of the SSD and get a second set of that RAM. With an SSD, the performance gain for After Effects will be marginal as it will be bottlenecked by your storage drive, the only difference you will see is in startup times. The extra RAM will allow you to do longer previews, encode quicker, and it's all around a better choice.

I'd also recommend getting a CPU cooler, as even on stock frequencies, video encoding can get your CPU pretty hot.

Continuing from his;

Get rid of the WD drive, they're rubbish compared to Sammy drive's.

Just a question, would there be any site that could put it together for me since I know absolutely nothing about putting PC's together?

Just build it yourself, it's not very complicated and there are tons of tutorials out there.

WOW... You must not have read the build correctly. There are 2 sets of 2x4GB totaling 16GB in full. Secondly, there is also a CPU cooler listed, Cooler Master V10.
