Solved My Xbox Wont Read Any Of My Discs!!Help!!

ok last night i stayed on my xbox til about 4 in the morning then i got up at like 3 30 today and i tried to get on call of duty and it would just day reading disc....then it would just go back to Open tray. i dont know what to do!someone please help

Sounds like your laser died from to much playing lol. Anyways as long as its not completely dead you can open up your dvd drive and adjust the POT to make it read games again.

This happened to my friend.

Heat up your 360's sticker with a hairdryer and peel off with a razorblade.

Pop open your 360 and take out your DVD drive. Carefully open it up and blow away all the dust. Move the laser a half inch outward. Reassemble your DVD drive and hook it back in. Before you reassemble you 360 get rid of as much dust that's in there as possible. Reassemble it all. Test it.

Use a paperclip to pop open the latches on the back. Use a spoon to take off the plastic grates.

You only need to go to step 3 when disassembling the DVD drive.

Like I said, to peel off the plastic grates use a spoon. Once all the grates are off, in the back you need to push a straightened paperclip into the holes one by one while pulling the case apart. Get a torx screwdriver if you don't have one. It's a great investment if you plan on doing any hardware mods.

When you put in the disk and it says reading, knock on the top of your xbox and it will load the game. (Not to hard but hard enough to create some vibration )

If your lucky it might even fix it for ever. (Did for my friend)
