You're misinformed. The Dell IPS he currently has is top of the line. The reason it costs as much as a entire build is due to the true 8-bit IPS panel and the extremely high resolution of 2500 x 1600 which absolutely crushes 1920 x 1080. Plus, 1920 x 1080 stretched around that size of a monitor will look distorted.

If you have never played games in 3d you are missing out, makes cinema 3d look alien and home 3d can't beat it either.

I have...and it does my head within 10 minutes. Completely overrated. Why that relates the the monitor is off topic anyways.
