I'm helping out my friend and will be building the PC over the summer together after saving up. This will be his first PC and will be a massive upgrade for gaming from his mac. He will be using this PC primarily for gaming (CSGO, RPGs, and etc.) and general internet surfing. He will also need 1 monitor, speakers, and a keyboard and mouse. It would be great if the case had a window. Not sure what to add so ask me any questions. Thank you for all the help and replies in advance!

    Budget: $1400 US
Timeframe: Within a couple days or 1 week
    Color Code: No preferences

Yeah man, definitely try to convince him. A little more money spent now is worth it for the long run. Especially if he ends up going with the i7 build rather than an i5

Is it ok for a case to have only 2 exhaust fans? The S340 only come with 2 exhaust in the rear and top. Thank you!

Perfectly normal. The h100i cpu cooler that I listed is a 240mm radiator with 2x120mm fans on it. The case allows for a 240mm front mounted radiator. So that with the 2x120mm fans the case comes with will be fine. The way I would set it up would be to have the rear 120mm fan set as an exhaust (blowing out of case), top 120mm fan blowing down (cold air falls), and have the 2 fans mounted in front of the radiator blowing towards the rad.
    Example:

Thanks! I tried to convince my friend to get the i7 build, but he said he could only get the i5 one. Hopefully, he can upgrade in the future. Would the i5 build work well with only the 2 fans? Sorry about not clarifying earlier.

Graphics Card Prices right now are still sort of high due to Cryptomining and stuff

It wouldn't make a huge difference in the build, right?

depends on what graphics card he wants and if he wants to do high tier things. like run 4k and do 3d rendering and stuff then its going to cost atleast 600 alone for the card. if he wants to just play low demanding games a 970 or a 1050 would be good

Yeah I think the 1070 will best suit him. He'll order the parts soon in the next few days. I will make sure to post the finished build after!
