I recommend getting Cinema 4d and learn stuff with that. Its very cool and easy to use.

I back this, Cinema 4d is AMAZING it allows you to create realistic 3D objects and text to create awesome effects with them too !!

I agree that Cinema4D is really cool and makes some pretty bomb intro's, but I didn't find it so easy to use at first. =p
