My friend whats to buy an all in one liquid cooling unit(i.e. Antec Kuhler 620, Corsair H80, etc.) but he said he dosent want the boring black tubing but a clear tube so he can put blue fluid and so on, so my question is can this be done? No fancy resevoirs, or anything just the tubes and fluid.

I've never heard / seen this done so I'm going to assume it's not the best idea to do so...but according to a link that I'll post below I don't think it's entirely out of the question. On the other hand, you could just get a cheap XSPC loop which is true water-cooling. Plus, the performance on those pre-filled all in one liquid cooling kits are not very good for the price that you're paying. It seems like a lot of work for such little pay off.

I know. Its mine so I really don't care. He dosent want to pay $200 for a liquid cooling just so a see through. Plus he's not doing serious over clocking just +.3 GHz's, he just wants to keep it cool.
