just wanna get somthing cleard up here if seen different threads discussing this but they did not answer any of my questions can u mod your self recon by hex editing your profile if not is there another way also was it ever possible ?

I havent been on halo 3 modding in a while..but im pretty sure that you cannot mod yourself recon armor..

You can... sorta. There is a flag in the profile that lets you use recon offline. It was put there so that people wouldn't have to do a server check in the case they can't always be on XBL. As for exactly how, we don't know the exact flag yet.

It's probably added to your profile when its unlocked for you. If it was with the other armor perms then someone would have figured it out by now. Maybe im just talking out of my *** but i don't think its in the profile and maybe someone will prove me wrong.
