I have been seeing a lot of these types of topics around:
"Who is the best Minecraft server host?"
"Where can I find a cheap host?"

You should always research a company before purchasing from them, but here are a few that you can look into:

    Minecraft Hosting

    http://apexminecrafthosting.com/
    https://creeperhost.net
    http://minecraftgs.com
    http://mpserv.net
    https://allgamer.net
    http://www.multiplaygameservers.com/game-servers/mc-minecraft
    http://www.fragnet.net
    http://www.beastnode.com
    http://fluctishosting.com
    https://cubedhost.com
    https://demonvps.com
    https://getnodecraft.net
    http://www.astralgameservers.com
    https://picklehosting.com
    https://mcprohosting.com
    https://www.minecraft-hosting.pro

    VPS Hosting

    https://allgamer.net
    http://www.thrustvps.com
    http://fluctishosting.com
    https://demonvps.com

    Dedicated Hosting

    https://allgamer.net
    http://www.minecraftlayer.com
    https://www.datashack.net
    http://www.ioflood.com
    http://www.hivelocity.net
    http://www.incero.com
    http://www.limestonenetworks.com
    http://www.soyoustart.com/us
    http://www.ovh.com
    http://www.liquidweb.com
    http://www.codero.com
    http://www.internap.com
    http://www.rapidswitch.com
    http://www.i3d.net

Please do your own research on these companies.
I do not vouch for any of these companies.
I will not do reviews on these hosts
I will add companies at my own discretion.
I put companies in the categories I deem them worthy. Horrible resellers won't go in dedicated or VPS.

If you have a provider you'd like to see added, post them in this thread. If I don't respond or you otherwise need me regarding this, PM me.

Put sunkenservers.org up there, they are really good. They are cheap and good quality.

Yup, they have their WHMCS password protected and none of their other nav links are working.

You should add incero.com to the dedicated hosts list.

Also, you should just remove any "Minecraft hosting company" from the dedicated/vps links. Minecraft hosting companies are only good for servers just starting out. Even then, I would suggest using a VPS. Anyways, they aren't even worth looking into for dedicated servers because they are resellers and rip you off. If you want a dedicated server, try to get it from the source, not a reseller.

Some people prefer them for their Minecraft support expertise, idiotic in my opinion but it's their choice. Adding your link now.

As in more RAM or a better processor? Either way, I doubt you have a gigabit line or a backup generator. Post some specs and I'll send you several companies to blow you out of the water.

Although I don't have the gig line like you said (45 MB/S though, which is very good for a private line), I have 8 GB of RAM, and I normally play at 100 FPS. I have 2 TB or HDD, so no limit there. Unlimited Bandwidth too. And although I don't have a business line, I have access to one, so I probably could host a server on that one, which has all my specs, except it does have a 1 gig line.

You left out your processor, which is extremely influential on a machine's performance. Even if you have a nice processor, doing anything server intensive is likely to **** on your general use performance and vice versa. You have 8GB RAM? Sweet, most of that can't be allocated to a server if you expect to use your computer. Most business lines aren't 1GB/s, and even if yours is you probably don't have the same security and functionality that's provided by most datacenters. 2TB of storage at what speed? Many providers allow you to have a SSD put into your box. Unlimited bandwidth? The amount of traffic from a decent sized server will get a lot of ISPs to throttle you, so it won't do much good.

DataShack, for example, has boxes with FX-4100s and 8GB dedicated for as low as $69; such likely out-specs your computer as far as Minecraft server hosting goes and that's a low end deal, though not a bad price.

My knowledge in this area (and most related to PC Minecraft) is not wisely challenged, feel free to ask Ned or Zak if you should listen to me on the matter.

I wasn't challenging you, as I know you are very good with computers. I was saying though that for the price of these providers, I like my computer better since although I can not compete with a company, I do not have a low end computer, so I don't have to pay to host a good server. And do you work for a company that makes software? I wanted to ask you this earlier (a few days ago) and forgot to.

Oh. It seemed like you had based on a few posts I saw a few days ago. Lol. The way you said some stuff made it sound like you had helped develop it. Which is why I was going to ask.

If it was a weekly chunk or update post, it was written by Jens or Lydia.

Maturity and age are two very different things. The fact that you're using some skidded theme for your site and have bad/no rep in the community tells me that your company isn't quite ripe enough for me to pick. If you had needed insight or advice before (which you really do) and asked for it, I gladly would have helped; your extreme lack of professionalism and respect has lost you that and any hopes at having anything to do with this site's Minecraft section regarding your company.

Mind explaining how we have a "skidded" theme. Most themes are simply bought. I personally am not the best web designer anyways. Many of the "popular" minecraft service sites use bought themes. As for rep, we are a bit new in minecraft but have been running since early 2011 as a whole. We just haven't been on here since then, but that in no way means we are not mature or that we don't know what we are doing..

Oh and we are not a reseller FYI.

    • You're using a free theme that's really generic and crappy compared to the industry's real competitors. If you have design issues hire someone to make something custom and suited to your company.
    • Your point in rep is invalid, you're referring to age again. My definition of a good reputation in the hosting business is based on customer reviews, personal experience, and what I can tell from your site itself. I don't see enough positive in any of those to merit your company being promoted here.
    • I didn't call you immature, however tempted I am to throw that out there about Guilty, and you saying you know what you're doing isn't really something that registers with me.
    • If you don't have your own machines in your own center, you are a reseller of some degree; I don't recall bringing that up, though.
    • Your friend has really soiled your company's name here, so don't expect to be added without me finding substantial amounts of positive info regarding your company's development in the fields I've mentioned from a trusted source.
