Discussion migrateing old xbox 360 account to xbox live? please read.

hey im new here and i was just wondering if there was any way to migrate your regular xbox 360 account and make it a live account becas all of my gamerscore and games are on my old one and i want them on my live.
please help.

So basically:
You have an offline account which has all your gamerscore etc. You also have a separate XBL account. And you want to merge your offline account with your online one?

You can't. You should've bought Xbox Live on your offline account.

You could make it an xbl account and then recover it somewhere else.

nope, your best bet would have been to turn the offline account into an online one.

Don't renew you live account you have now.

Log onto your offline account with the GS then go to the marketplace "join Live"

bam basically destroy one upgrade the other.

ye i think the only wa to get it would be to make it a live account, but then that is pretty useless to you, sorry dude

So you can turn an offline account into an Online one and keep all your gamerscore and stuff. Ha my friends gonna be pissed. He had a really good gamerscore but got xbl and now has 200 because he thought if you wanted live you have to make a complete new user.

Yea..You just have to click "Join Live" on your offline account and get a membership for your offline account, then it'll be on Live. I did the same thing and made a new account, but I now have more gamerscore points on my new account than on my offline one.

Log into your usual account then choose 'connect to xbox live'.
