I just download Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 portable and it is screwing with my PC!
When i restarted my computer again because Adobe Photoshop CS3's license being compromised, my computer started up saying "Activate Windows Now or Activate Windows Later"

I have never seen this before at all. I obviously hit later.

Then on loadup, none of my startup applications were starting, my wallpaper was black and in the bottom right hand corner reads:
That wasn't there before. I'm deleting the Dreamweaver folder and see what happens.

This actually has happened randomly with some people... Windows would just randomly ask them to re-activate vista. Just know that it's an issue with vista's licensing server, and the portable apps might have cause the licensing server to somehow crash. Last time i checked (around 2 months ago), there was no fix to the issue except to either try to reactivate vista, or to reinstall completely.

Try reading. Re-install Vista or re-activate it. What the hell does any of that have to do with a battery?

If you don't know how to do either of those, talk to Microsoft and just tell them that it randomly popped up. Nobody's trying to get you, you just experienced a bug.

Yeah, starting with job security. Who needs programmers, or computers, or Microsoft?

Go make some cash and then have someone steal it. See how it feels.

This coming from someone who may or may not have pirated Windows on his computer, too. God, I'm a horrid person.

i know, because without security, we wouldn't have to worry about new technology coming out. And we defiantly wouldn't need to worry about why it's taking so long for the new OS to come out because there would be none!

I just hope that Windows 7 won't have all of this B.S.
    Vista was an epic failure.

I know you're important or something around here (the little icon under your name says that too me) but stop being stupid and read the messages that Haxalot and I took the time to type up? Thanks. If you have an issue with what he said, how about stating it specifically. Don't post a topic if you're not going to read the answers.

This is not an emo whining ***** fest. Thanks.

Oh, and [Click here to view the link]. At least fail at life cleanly.

Hmm, take shot at flamming see how that goes for ya.

Oh just *in case* (spell that right next time and it wont be as easy laugh at you:wink:) you didn't know (since your new here) I have been having other issues with my computer because I'm an epic Computer abuser (4 year old laptop) and I posted the other problems I've had here then you would know that i can't do ANYTHING either of you suggested because I can't reinstall an Operating System on my computer because my BIOS is messed up and I can't update my BIOS until i get a new battery.

lol, wasn't trying to ignore you guys, I just got lazy and didn't link the other thread. My bad :frown:

Should have said your BIOS was messed up. But also, like he said, you can grab a hold of Microsoft on the phone and they'll walk you through how to re-activate your copy of Vista.

Oh, and sorry for the typo. *embarassed* :x3:

He never said to call Vista up (in this thread, now sure about others).
lol I know your trying and all, but lets face it. I'm a lost hope right now. lol
There are reasons i can't discuss why, but im smarter than the average bear (on a pc) lol

My mistake. He suggested re-activation first, and I personally said that Microsoft could help you with it. Nonetheless, it was said.

    Vista is not a company.

Okay. If you think it's hopeless for some reason, I'll move on. Why not just go to Office Depot or something and get your BIOS fixed, if you can't?
