This is how you can merge objects together in forge mode, pretty useful for certain maps in which you require more space, or even if you just want it to look smooth. Very simple but can be time consuming for a lot of objects.

Steps:
  • Enter edit mode and place your initial object
  • Go into the extra option on the object (press x)
  • Set place at start to "No"
  • Set respawn time to whatever amount of time you need
  • Restart round
  • Go to area of initial object (note: it won't be there now, so if you have a bad memory of it's positioning then mark the area with something beforehand)
  • Enter edit mode
  • Select second object and place it slightly within the boundaries of the initial item
  • Wait for initial item to spawn
  • Items should now be merged
Not all objects will merge, for example guns won't merge, or anything that can be used or destroyed, so stick to larger objects, like boxes and walls.

Ah, yes. The old forge tricks of Halo 3. These were life savers back then. It was actually difficult and time consuming to make things smooth and aligned perfectly.

Anyways, great text tutorial. I was surprised I actually remembered every step correctly, since it's been so long.

It's much easier to do the human editor way. Nice tutorial though! Brings back incredible memories
