Hey guys, I'm building a media server for a friend. I am not knowledgeable with servers, so I was hoping someone could put together a build for me. I have a bunch of old pc parts, but I am not sure if they would be good for this project.
What I have already from older builds:
Intel Core i3 3225
Power Supply
Case
8gb Memory

So all I would need is a hard drive and motherboard, correct? He want's a 1tb hdd for now. Could you give me some options on a motherboard and an hdd.?
If the above is complete garbage and won't work well, just make your own build. MAX $300. You can use some of the stuff I have already to save money. Thanks!
