malicious file downloads

For sometime now I have been getting pop-ups from norton saying it's blocked a "malicious file download" or something of the sort, So, I ended up restoring my computer to factory settings, thinking it might fix this problem, but as soon as I did, they're back...

Any suggestions on how I can stop these things?

Norton isn't that great of an AV. I recommend uninstalling it and installing Avast.

It might be one of your programs such as a crack for a game you might of downloaded. However as mentioned don't use Norton. Even AVG will be better off and it will use much less system resources, let us know how it goes.
