Tutorial Making an Attractive Character (Less is More)

    [Select your Heritage, Skin Tone, Age, Build, Eye Color, and Eyebrows.]

    [Set everything to Neutral, then select the shortest Hair Style. ]

    [Turn every Lifestyle slider down completely.]

    [Then set everything to None]

    [​IMG]

    [Turn Tiredness slider down completely.]

    [​IMG]

    [Turn every Makeup slider down and then off.]

    Review: Now go back and make any changes you want. Try to stay as close to the presets as possible to avoid any surprises later.

    [Select your Foundation (this is the only time you can change opacity, ever)]

    [Select your Blush (this is the only time you can change opacity, ever)]

    [Select your Eyeshadow (this is the only time you can change opacity, ever)]

    [Select your Eyeliner (this is the only time you can change opacity, ever)]

    [Select your Lipstick (this is the only time you can change opacity, ever)]

    [Select your Hair Style]

    [Select your Hair Color]

    [Finish creating your Character, make any adjustments before continuing.]

    [Pay close attention during the opening cinematic.]

    [See what your character looks like in a hat if possible.]

    [Try to see what your character looks like in profile.]

    [Visit Alden to see how you look in interior lighting.]

    [There is an extreme closeup.]

    [If you are pleased with your character then continue, if not rinse and repeat.]

    This is sound advice, don't try to bully RDR broken character modelling options, you will only get monstrous results. Now I hope they will refine the whole thing, and add the possibility to change your character design like they finally did in GTA5.

    Good news! The promising line has been cut from the linked page, but this is to be expected if they felt they spoiled a future feature.

    Dat grill do. I made a decent looking female character on my alt, just don't make that b**** smile.... eeeeeew. I would gladly drop a grand on some wooden dentures.

    Do you think it’s a matter of time, or that they may never let us go back to edit characters faces we’ve had since the first day of beta?

    I don't want an attractive player. My character looks like dog****, thats the way I wanna keep him.

    Soon extra options will be released.

    My character looks like hes been beaten up 500 times, props to the people that spend their time on character creation.

    Figured I'd show of my Native American character because I've been told that he actually looks pretty good.

    I just spent a decent amount of time creating him. Never felt a need to edit him though, he looks bad *** imo.
