Major Nelson (Larry Hryb on twitter), of Microsoft is officially slated for retirement. Major Nelson has worked for Microsoft since the early 2000s, and has been a massive part in the creation of the Xbox consoles. Major Nelson also contributed to the achievement system that we all know and love, the game chat systems and the cloud saves.
As an avid gamer, I can only thank him for his service in bringing us some of the best gaming consoles and continuously raising the ceiling in the world that is console gaming. I think I can speak for all of us, that we will always remember what he has done to change the history of gaming forever. We will have to sit back and hope the next executive to fill his shoes will continue to impress us, continue to raise the ceiling and allow for console gaming to continuously evolve.
Thank you Major Nelson, for changing all of our childhoods and adult years for the better. May retirement treat you well.
