    Ok first off i'm JDpwns, now lets get to the tutorial.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------

    Ok open up Visual Basic 2008

    Now Start a new project, Name it what ever...

    Make a Button on the form.

    Double click the button, it should now be on the page where you will be able to see code,

    Don't erase anything in the code box.

    Click In-between Form1.whatever and End Sub

    Code one or BOTH of the following DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU WANT!

    Code:
    messagebox.show("BODY", "Title")
    What this does is makes a message popup when the button is clicked!

    Code:
    me.opacity = .50
    This will make the forms Transparency 50% (TIP: 1.0 is 100% .10 is 10%) When the button is clicked.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Part Two of the tutorial

    So now you should have your button that does either ONE or BOTH of the Above if i where you i would have done,

    Code:
    me.opacity = .50
    messagebox.show("The Programs Transparency has been changed to 50%", "Program name"
    Now what i want you to do is Add a Label to the form, make it say Successfully Changed Configuration. in the properties menu on the right, look at the bottom of the list where it says Visible:True change it to False.

    ok now go back to the button code,

    Code:
    me.opacity = .50
    messagebox.show("The Programs Transparency has been changed to 50%", "Program name"
    label1.visible = True
    add that label1.visible = True

    now test the program! mix it up get creative! good luck!:thumbup:
    I hope you learned something new =)

    Pretty simple, but this will probably help someone somewhere.

    Good job.

    Simple but don't under rate yourself.

    Like Ibdc said, it will end up coming in handy for someone.

    This could have encompassed some more things... even if it was just a basic explanation of the options you have when creating a new message box? You explained two things, one of which is pretty useless. Sorry, I'm not impressed.
