Everyone who cares will just move to LiNK. Seeing more and more progress made on xbox one maybe in the near future it will be public knowledge on how to mod and then modding on the Xbox one's native xbox 360 emulator would be possible.Life after the xbox 360s shutdown. I wonder what it will be? A modders playground, custom servers, new games/homebrew?
What are your opinions on this?
(Please note the xbox 360 wont shutdown for a while 3-5 years ill give it.)
Honestly can't wait till the Xbox one is moddedEveryone who cares will just move to LiNK. Seeing more and more progress made on xbox one maybe in the near future it will be public knowledge on how to mod and then modding on the Xbox one's native xbox 360 emulator would be possible.
Yes very true. The only thing keeping them alive is BC. I would guess they will be shut down when the next gen comes out. With the way they are releasing BC games that run on the 360's servers, I doubt the servers will be shut down in the next 4-5 years.
We've got a while yet.
Very good point. For some time I was supposing that the 360 will only have online servers for another 2 years or so, but if BC games keep becoming ultilized, I agree we will still have 360 servers for awhile. With the way they are releasing BC games that run on the 360's servers, I doubt the servers will be shut down in the next 4-5 years.

Yeah, I think we have a long way to go yet.Very good point. For some time I was supposing that the 360 will only have online servers for another 2 years or so, but if BC games keep becoming ultilized, I agree we will still have 360 servers for awhile.
This is what I was thinking about. But I'm sure someone here said no.I strongly believe that if XBL was to shut down for 360 that the likes of Link would be integrated into the dashboard in place of xbl and it would be implemented to mimic xbl rather than system link, It's a bit of a gray area though, because if it mimics xbl, there could be a big lawsuit lmao
I don't believe its going to be shut for a while though, I agree with the BC games coming out there'd be a huge backlash if they did and nobody would bother with BC games because half the functionality is removed once XBL Servers are shut down. Look at the original xbox!
It would have to "Emulate" The XBL Service to be able to be done as you cannot point games to another server, they use specific XBL protocols and god knows what, so yes it is complicated, but it could be done. This is what I was thinking about. But I'm sure someone here said no.
In my mind you might be able to it by making something like a stealth cross link server and redirecting the xbox live option in game to it. It has to be possible. This has to be real. Think of a world, were system link meets xbl, and all the modders old and new. Unite in a glorious realm were all the games with the xbl feature are able to be played on a server where the possibilities are endless. Seriously though, I'm sure there has to be a way to do this.
They canI wonder if M$ uses different servers for the 360 games that are BC for the Xbox One.
This is how I see it going. If they ever shut down the Xbox 360 servers (which I doubt they will because of the Xbox Ones backwards compatibility feature) then everyone will just go to link, it's pretty much the same as live just without parties. I use Link all the time when I don't feel like buying a KV, and it is awesome. Also cannot wait for the Xbox One to be modded.Everyone who cares will just move to LiNK.
