I think when mw3 came out there were stories of vans getting stolen etc. Wonder when will here these as well.

I was hoping someone would have snatched a copy at Gamescon. Highly unlikely, but we can all dream. It's usually out 1-2 weeks before release. A month before is possible, but it will probably be around the 1 week mark. Sorry bro, you still have a few months to wait.

Are you on crack? It is very easy to flash your console and use backups online. You just need lt 3.0 and an ihas burner which is very cheap. Or you could install an xkey and never have to worry about buying discs again. It is, in my opinion, easier now to burn iso's because all of the profile data of the new discs are all the same. I have a 2tb hard drive full of games and over half of them are new games. I played MW3 2 weeks before it came out and played it online 1 week before it came out because they didn't have the servers online.

New games are xgd3 so you need a liteon burner for them.other than that the procedure to burn is pretty much the same as Before .

Myself I am waiting for my retail copy before playing .I hope it is a improvement other comedy warfare 2 and 3(mw2 was ruined by simple crap that is easy to fix and mw3 is just trash in every aspect ).

It's going to be about 2 weeks before retail release, just like the last 3 CODs. No point in speculating about it this far in advance. Wait until it goes gold, then speculate.

You need one of a few specific Lite-On, like a Lite-On iHAS324-B. Then once you get installed you have to flash the firmware with iMax burner if you want to play XGD3 games, which is pretty much every new game. You will also have to flash your dvd drive in your Xbox iExtreme LT 3.0. Then you can proceed to purchasing Dual-Layer DVDs. For XGD3 games, you are better off with Verbatims which run about $25 for 20 or $50 for 50. It's not hard at all once you get started.

i have an iHBS212-08 is this compatible... i have hte disks and i will just create iso files and extract them to my jtag

If you are going to put them on a Jtag then you don't need disks or a burner. You only need DVDs and an iHas burner if you are going to play on Xbox Live.
