Okay so I bought a Jasper for $30. The guy did not tell me the drive was broken and honestly I don't care. Plan to RGH it anyways. But my thought is if the drives broken can I send my Xbox out for a RGH and can they use the Halo edition DVD in my jasper with the Xkey method or whatever?

I'm fairly knowledgeable about the RGH method but nothing about the Xkey.

Halo edition DVD? Your console a halo edition or what? I'm pretty sure if you need it you can have the person who rgh's your console swap out the drive and put a working one in or repair it

Sounds like your RGH-ing a Jasper and running an xK3y? Each device needs to have the same DVD key. You can patch the key to match the drive when creating an RGH image or you can patch the key in drive firmware to match the console for saving to the xK3y and flashing the drive.

Assuming they have drive flashing tools the ideal way is to re-flash the drive with the key to match the RGH and save the same firmware onto the xK3y.

It'd actually be quite easy.

As soon as they RGH it, Xell will show the DVD Key.
Then all they'd need to do, is create a custom firmware.bin file in JungleFlasher, and put that on the XK3Y's SD Card.

So to answer your question, yes.
