Commodore4eva soll im IRC verkndet haben, das die erwartete iXtreme Firmware 1.61, so wird sie heien, im Laufe der nchsten Woche fr die Xbox 360 Ben-Q, Lite-On und Samsung Laufwerke erscheinen wird. Da ein solcher Release aufgrund der Wave 4 Problematik nicht ausgeschlossen ist, ist davon auszugehen, dass diese Aussage vom 360 Laufwerkshacker persnlich wohl tatschlich stimmt. Ob sich im Paket des iXtreme 1.61 Releases auch Firmwarefiles fr die neuen, noch nicht gehackten Lite-On Revisionen befinden ist unklar.

Hello to all, it was said today that the iXtreme 1.61 firmware for Benq and Samsung drives are currently being tested. We can therefore expect a release in a short time. Reminder that the 1.61 firmware can operate games that include the new protection from Microsoft: WAVE 4. For the moment, no news on the Hitachi drive.

But hitachi's don't have a problem playing wave4's...so they are in better shape than use 1.6's. 1.6 is only good b/c it keeps your from playing a game that will more than likely get you banned on XBL. As long as the games are stealth checked, there should be no problem.

Oh, and you don't know what new checks MS has with wave 4 games, so it probably won't be a good idea playing them yet.

Not really. 1.6 and 1.51 are basically the same thing. 1.6 just added a game ripping ability and SS2 support. Your not outdated or anything.

To clear up any confusion:

iXtreme 1.5 and iXtreme 1.51 are the exact same thing almost. The only difference is that c4e took the video partition check out of 1.51 so it can boot wave 3. It was just a quick fix.

Most likely, iXtreme 1.61 will just be iXtreme 1.6 with the added check for wave 4.

It will be much safer to use 1.61 rather then 1.51 because 1.51 can boot any game while 1.61 will probably just boot up to wave 4 with stealth check still intact.

Either way, even if 1.6 doesn't let you play the stealth game, it should just because it's your own damn fault for being stupid and not checking the game with abgx first. People who are banned for playing non-stealth games deserve it.

Also, I run iX1.51 on two hitachis and a benq and have not been banned.

How many games have a burned? 80.
How many games have I checked before burning? 0.
How many coasters have I had? 0.

Everything nowadays is properly stealth patched, it has been forever since I've seen an issue.

the only reason i sob over 1.51 is because 1.6 can rip games, and i love it. i hav a blaster 360 and a usb to sata cable so i just rip games to my laptop in just over 20 min, without taking anything apart.

Then you clearly have iX 1.51. iX 1.6 can't play wave 4 and this has nothing to do with where you download them from.

i just got off aim with c4eva, when i brought up 1.61 he said "its finished me and my team did it about a hour ago, its in its beta stage testing right now and then il personally test it on my xboxs i have then it will be public"

Doubt it. Hitachi's with 1.51 can read wave 4. Also Hitachi's are always behind on the firmware releases. Right now only drive that need the update are benq's samsung's and lite-ons.

I wouldn't be so quick to say that

You're data shows that you successfully know how to get a game on a disc, not that 'everything nowadays is properly patched'

What about if the data wasn't good to begin with? I've downloaded several 'non mainstream' games that didn't have patching on them. Had I just burned the game without checking it with ABGX, I would have loaded a game with bad stealthing on it. And yes, this was a newer game....came out 09 anyways.
