    Hello,

My WiFi works pretty well with a local wireless connection somewhere in my neighborhood. Problem is when I'm at College there is a wireless/ Hot spot supplied throughout my whole school but even though it SAYS I'm connected, it can not actually find an internet signal at all, whether I'm trying to use Safari or access Cydia (Jailbroken).

Does anyone know of any solutions for these public wi-fi spots and/or if there is a way to make the ITouch's Wi-Fi prescence stronger since most labtops connect no problem. Note, i do work in IT at the school so i could possibly do a few devious things.

Are you sure the connection is not encrypted?

Download an app called "FreePing", from the iStore thing but theres probably a jailbreak equivalent, and see if you can ping both the router and google.

Hmmm do you have to login anything to use the internet? Like a T-Mobile hotspot.
