Is xbl down?

    Because my 360 won't connect but yet I'm on the net now.Like my 360 says dns failed.

    Unplug your router/modem. That should fix it or your internet is working.

    Nope my internet is working but xbl is gay or atleast on my 360 it is.

    Make sure it's on DHCP. You may have an IP that changes. I had that problem once before.

    Nah I found the problem it turns out I did have to reset router for some dumb reason but yeah thanks to all for trying to help though.

    Like any computer, a router needs to be turned off every once in a while. I believe the term when speaking of routers of recycling. It may suck, but get used to it, because it's pretty standard procedure to not keep your electronics (precluding servers) on 24/7.

    But the thing was the internet was working on the computers but not the 360.

    I understand, nonetheless, your router is going to go buggy when you don't recycle it often.

    It could also have been a problem with the Ethernet cable if that's how you connect; if not, with your wireless connection. Both might be affected by not recycling your router. :smile:

    I could be completely wrong, but since you said restarting your router was how it was fixed, I honestly doubt it has nothing to do with your router needing to be restarted now and again. Especially if you rent a router from your ISP!

    ****! I literally am having the same EXACT problem right now but my damn router is in my baby sister's room so i can't go in there right now (10:11pm). This is so gay!!!
    And i work tomorrow at 9am. God this night couldnt get any worse.
