This basically sums up the majority of the steam reviews. Seems like a lot of people are willing to ignore the game's flaws because of hype though, this has been kind of a recent problem I think. The first month of release your friend is like "this game is amazing, spend all your monies on it" then after a month or so the same guy (and most everyone else) is like "yeah this game is ******".I've played this game for a couple days and I'm level 12. There's nothing really great about this game. It's your typical cover-based shooter with bullet sponge enemies thrown in and simple RPG elements like quests and a loot system. The servers are really sh*tty, but that's because of Ubisoft. Their servers were never really reliable to begin with. There's definitely a lot of lag most of the time and it gets on my nerves. The fact that the servers aren't divided by region means that you'll play with people from all over the world, and that means having to see and hear a bunch of derp**** languages.
It's a decent game, but I wouldn't give it GotY or anything. Something that kinda worries me is that Ubisoft is saying that their company's future is with this game. If that's so, they need to do a lot more to this game to make it worth my while. The character animations are subpar and that can lead to frustration in combat when NPCs are moving around like crackheads and you're unable to get headshots a lot of the time.
I wish this game was first-person. It would help with the immersion greatly. 3rd-person games that don't have a lot of action tend to bore the hell out of me and take any bit of immersion away.
This is my impression so far.
Every Ubisoft game ever basically.
