Been trying loads of ways to change it but it never does, are any of your on the network and have changed you ip? If so, how did you do it?

Doesn't always work.The only way to immediately change your WAN IP address is to go into modem only mode.
Then the client MAC of the adapter on the PC will determine the WAN IP address issued. From that point onwards if you wish to change your IP again you may be able to change the MAC on the PC Ethernet adapter (some let you, some don't).
Yeah, It's the only way I'm aware of currently, I don't use virgin media.Doesn't always work.
