Discussion Is it possible to avoid an update/patch

So a week ago I ordered my rapid fire controller for CoD4. I received it in the mail an hour AFTER they ****ing patched the rapid fire ****. Is there any way I can avoid downloading the new patch so I can use the rapid fire?

You can always clear your cache, but this means you cannot use your rapid fire controller online.

Otherwise, I would try and return that controller.
