Is it possible to create an internal usb port in the 360 (phat)?
Yes just solder to the correct pins under the board where the USB ports already are.
I have this done on my rgh along with internal wifi, and 16gbs of internal flashbmemory.
I also have it done on my retail zelpyr with intetnal wifi.
Its generally easy as long as you know how to correctly solder.
*edited because it said had on my zephyr, but it stil has it *
The last time I soldered something I was in school, looks like I'll just stick with the external ones.
Haha if you want, i will do it for free if you want to pay for ahipping to me and back, and supply a usb hub its up to you. I think its worth it because i use a internal flash memory drive and i use wired turtle beaches and internal wifi etc. So ir comes in really handy for me haha. But its up to yoh
Thanks for the offer matey but it isn't really an essential for me to have. Might get back to you in the future though!
I'll just stick to using the external ones for now
Haha sounds good yeah they arent a nessecity, but they definately come in handy haha
how does the internal wifi work?
You remove the board, cord, and antannas from the case, mount it above the av port, cutvthe end off the usb cable, and solder it to the usb hub so it doesnt occupy the entire back port theres a pic of what it looks like in my for sale thread. (Its in the phantom console)
and you can connect to xbl just like you were using a slim?
thats pretty awesome, is there a tut for it or did you do it all on your own?
Idk if theres a tut or not, but im sure there is. I used a standard usb wiring chart and figured it out
you used that official xbox 360 wifi connector and soldered usb ports internally and then plugged the wifi connector into the internal usb ports?
Pretty much what i did waz i used a 4 port hub and soldered it to the port under ths board, then cut tge end off the official wifi adaptor and soldered it to the hub
