i made a install media on my usb thats why there is more stuff in the log

There don't seem to be any Error entries. Try this:

If you're on...
  • Windows 7
    • Go to: Control Panel -> Region and Language -> Administrative tab -> Change system locale and select "English (US)".
    • Re-run the Media Creation tool.
  • Windows 8.x
    • Go to: Control Panel -> Clock, Language and Region -> Region -> Administrative (tab) -> Change system locale and select "English US".
    • Re-run the Media Creation tool.

Updated OP with instructions on how to perform a Clean Install after upgrading to Windows 10 via Windows Update or the Media Creation tool. I Wrote instructions for using "Reset This PC" and for using a bootable USB/DVD.

Thanks I'll probably do that in a bit ,
Let me know what happens and if you find a solution.

Edit: I highly recommend anyone that anyone using Windows 10 do the steps listed in Edit #5. =)

I'm getting the something happened error on my surface pro 2. Telling me that setup initializing failed. My region is already set to the US.

Does the user account you're using have complete administrative control over the system you're using?

it should, how can I check?
When you ran the MCT, did the UserAccountControl window appear asking for permission to run as an admin? If not, try running the tool as an administrator. Right click and click run as admin.

Ran into a problem, whenever I launch the Media Creation Tool it gives me an error reading:
"Setup couldn't start properly. Please reboot your PC and try running Windows 10 Setup again." Thing is, I've already done that and it still gives the same error. I did notice in $Windows.~MS that there is a 2GB .tmp file. Should I just delete that and try again?

Both of you delete everything in the following folders and try again:

C:\$Windows.~BT
C:\$Windows.~WS

Open task manager, go to Services tab, find Windows Update, Right Click > Stop

Delete everything inside of:
C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Downloads\
C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Datalogs\

Right click the Windows Update service and click start. Then try running the MCT again.

What version of Windows are you guys running btw?
