Ok so im looking to start into the flashed xbox 360 scene. Im looking to price everything out and get a few questions answered.

From my understanding i will need these basic items.

    Flashed 360(duh) $99-$140
    DVD+R DL burner $20-$30
DVD+R DL disk I duno price but i know hey not cheap

    now for questions

I have a laptop and it's DVD-ROM drive wont burn disk, so can i buy an internal drive and connect it with a IDE/sata to USB adapter?
(could i flash a liteon drive with similar adapter?)

When buying disk what brand do you suggest and what the price?

What software do you suggest for the burning/ stealth checking/patching ect.

Any other info you suggest i know?

all help is appreciated thanks in advance

    1. Just buy an external DVD+R DL burner
    2. Verbatim, Verbatim, Verbatim, Verbatim. Idk maybe like $40 for 25 or 30? Not sure
    3. ImgBurn (assuming you're on a PC), ABGX
    4. Make sure you know what you're doing before you decide to splurge on all this stuff is the most important thing. Other than that, good luck! And if you ever need help there are a ton of guys on this forum that will be able to help you out. Don't be shy, ask questions. But only questions that haven't been asked yet

Make sure your flashed box has FW 1.51 or later.

Yes i know, and wait will an internal dvd drive with an IDE/sata to USB work for burning?

    Try 50-100

I just bought a new internal LG for my desktop. Best investment of my life. I had a flashed 360 for about a year, but didn't have any burnt games. Now I have tons.

Don't worry about money now, you'll make it all back.

They all look pretty ****ty and most have bad overall reviews.

Not to mention those all look to be internal desktop burners and you said you have a laptop.

For the burner get a Pioneer 115DK (Something of that nature).

I got it for $29 last march from Newegg, it burns every disc, and I use a lot of cheap discs (I use $15 25PK office depot discs).

    Never had a coaster.
