Solved I'm close!

So far I go to local with my second controller start the multilayer game, I join someone on my friends recent activities, I quickly press setup game and it sticks but I have no one to put party limit to 1 so I join them then the menu goes ???

what i do is find somebody on my friends list who is in a full game and just join them through the ps menu. it will say lobby not joinable

I have no one I had to join a community but now I can get the menu to stick I have to be able to press play online without it disappearing because I get the menu but I can't move with the second controller even though its on plus when I join someone the menu disappears???
